As fuel costs rise with no end in sight and we become more concerned about the environment, you’re quite right to focus on how energy efficient your home is.
Energy Saving Trust research reveals that almost half the UK's carbon dioxide emissions come from energy we use every day. In 2005 alone, total UK CO2 emissions were almost 554 million tonnes. 27% (153 million tonnes) of those emissions came from the energy we use to heat, light and power our homes, contributing to climate changes.
But saving energy will not only help the environment in the long term. It can save you a great deal of money now - and increasingly as time goes by. Because those soaring fuel costs are highly unlikely to come down.
Did you know that up to 20% of a home’s heat is lost through the windows? The image to the left shows that the greatest heat loss is through the windows.
Dynamic's windows and doors have been developed specifically to meet the standards currently being debated by the government. Although not yet subject to official legislation, it is predicted that all double glazing products will be subject to an energy rating in the future.
You will recognise the Energy Rating logo from various other household appliances such as fridges, dishwashers & washing machines and it will soon be applied to double glazing products. Almost all our windows and doors are B rated for energy efficiency as standard.
